With the support of Mohawk Papers, this limited edition (250 sets) gift set of fridge magnets and a notebook encased in a box resembling a bamboo steamer was borned.
Based on the concept of “Bao” which means “Buns” in Mandarin, 12 of our favorite “Buns” around China and Asia are showcased in the form of illustration on fridge magnets accompanied by an open-spine notebook printed with spotuv and neon color on Mohawk papers.
BAOWOW is a winner of Graphis Award, Hermes Creative Awards, International Design Award, iF Design Award and K-Design Award.
Inspired by the traditional bamboo steamer, a circular box is designed with a contemporary touch to present the title of the notebook within.
Upon lifting the lid of the box, an array of 12 customized crystal magnets capture one’s attention as they sit in a circular fashion on the top tier.
Once the top tier tray is removed, the entire notebook
is revealed.
Introduction of Mohawk Papers.
Matching infographics provides detailed introduction and pronunciation of each of the 12 “Bao” (which means “Buns” in Mandarin) in the notebook enclosed. Dotted blank pages encourage documentation. This also serves as a handbook for foreigners to learn and make their own notes as they explore the wonders of the Chinese language and its staple food culture.
Pantone Neon Yellow and Spotuv is used to highlight certain text and infographics, giving it more emphasis and vivacity.
